Women’s Fiction Book MeMeMe

Colleen Gleason tagged me, so here goes:

Contemporary, Historical, or Paranormal?
I like all genres. My favorites are paranormal and contemporary, but I started my romance reading in historical so it’ll always be near and dear to my heart.

Hardback or Trade Paperback or Mass Market Paperback?
For comfort I prefer mass market, but I like trade, too. Hardbacks are a bit uncomfortable for reading, but doable if necessary.

Heyer or Austen?
Austen

Amazon or Brick and Mortar?
I am an Amazon whore. Amazon loves me. I have Amazon Prime (free 2 day shipping! Wheeeee!) and order a ton of books there. The UPS man hates me. But I do love going to the bookstore, too.

Barnes & Noble or Borders?
I love Borders. They have been very very good to this author. But I like Barnes & Noble, too. We have both in the city I live in.

Woodiwiss or Lindsay?
Kathleen Woodiwiss is the first romance author I ever read, so she will always be my favorite. I devoured every Lindsay book, too. I really do like them both. A lot.

First romance novel you ever remember reading?
The Flame and The Flower by Kathleen Woodiwiss. Still have a copy on my bookshelf. Always will.

Alphabetize by author Alphabetize by title or random?
That would require organizational skills. I do keep ARCs I receive in one place, and autographed books in one place. Other than that, it’s complete haphazard.

Keep, Throw Away or Sell?
I keep them or give them away to libraries. I’ll never throw away a book unless it’s damaged in some way.

Read with dustjacket or remove it?
I always leave the dustjacket on

Sookie Stackhouse or Anita Blake?
Don’t throw things at me, but I’ve never read either.

Stop reading when tired or at chapter breaks?
I try to make it to the end of the chapter, but don’t often make it that far.

“It was a dark and stormy night” or “Once upon a time”?
“Dark and stormy night” will get me every time.

Crusie or SEP?
I love SEP!

Buy or Borrow?
I buy. Always.

Buying choice: Book Reviews, Recommendation or Browse?
Mostly recommendation from other readers I trust or books getting great buzz. I don’t pay much attention to reviews unless, like I said, the book is just getting phenomenal buzz everywhere.

Tidy ending or Cliffhanger?
I like the tidy ending. If it’s a series, I like knowing it’s continuing on, so you can ‘cliffhanger’ me as far as the next book, but tie up the one I’m reading, please.

Morning reading, Afternoon reading or Nighttime reading?
Typically nighttime for me, unless I’m taking the day off from writing. Then I could read all day long.

Series or standalone?
I love series books

Favorite book of which nobody else has heard?
I doubt there’s anything on my bookshelf no one has heard of.

I’m tagging Lara, Shiloh, Erin and Bonnie
