April 2nd Book Giveaway

Today one of my favorite author duos is giving away an ARC. SYDNEY CROFT is the amazing talent of authors Larissa Ione and Stephanie Tyler. And when they put their creative heads together as SYDNEY CROFT, it’s smokin hot. The ACRO Series is a rockin erotic paranormal series, so unique and so damn sexy it’ll make you squirm in your seat.

Even their covers will set you on fire. Rowrrrr!

He came to the underground London club for a night of extreme sex play with the enigmatic “Mistress Rik”. But the Special Agent known as Trance is really on a search-and-rescue mission to keep her alive. Part predator, Ulrika “Rik” Jaegar possesses feral powers that make her a danger to others–and to herself. That’s why the Agency for Covert Rare Operatives (ACRO) wants to recruit her to their side….To do so, Trance will have to pull off the impossible: capture and control Rik, both woman and beast.

On the run from the deadly agency that changed her into a pleasure-seeking shape shifter, Rik uses sex to rein in her own raging desires. Operating on pure instinct, she trusts no one…especially the magnificent alpha male with the power to seduce her into submission. An undercover agent with unique hypnotic gifts, Trance is surprised by his instinct to hold Rik and keep her safe — but he has a job to do. And as he hunts her down, as Rik and Trance are thrust into the ultimate game of domination and submission, they’ll enter a place where surrender is their sole hope of survival — and the only thing that can tame the wild beast in both of them…

To be eligible to win today’s book, let’s talk about the elements. Both Sydney Croft and I have written books about characters who have control over the elements of nature. If you could control any of the elements, which would it be? Me, I’d control water, because sometimes I just want it to rain, dammit. Of course that would be more the clouds than water, wouldn’t it? Though I do really dig thunder, too. Hmmm, must ponder this more….

Please don’t panic if your comment doesn’t appear right away. Some comments are being moderated and I’ll grab them and release them.

Because my blog is being a giant pain in the ass and holding comments in moderation and in spam and it takes me a bit to go find them, I’m going to choose winners at the end of every week, on Saturday, instead of every day. So check back every Saturday to see if you’re one of the weekly book winners. Because I’m not going to hunt the winners down. You have to come here to see if you’ve won and then contact me with your info (Other than ARCS being sent by the authors offering them, I’ll be shipping all the winning books directly from Amazon). Otherwise, come back every day for a new book giveaway.

And don’t forget to enter the grand prize contest! You could win a $100 Amazon Gift Certificate, a $100 Harley Davidson purse, or other prizes. Share the widget for a chance to win! Rules and info here

I want to control the ocean. Sometimes the water is just too calm and I want a big wave. Also the power to make a tital wave if people don’t give into my demands would be cool. heh.

  2. 2

Hmm, I think I’d want to control air. Anya Bast does an amazing job with her Elemental Witches series and I love her air witches.

Creating a tornado in a room full of bad guys is an amazing tool to win a fight!

I really need to read this series. Can’t believe I haven’t yet.

    Stacy says:

I am with you…I would like to control water. It could rain at night when I am sleeping…that would be awesome. Plus it would be less watering of my outside plants in the heat of the summer!

  4. 4

I’d pick water too, and for the same reasons. 🙂 It would be nice to be able to make it rain when I wanted it to. And on a more altruistic note, being able to help farmers during a dry season, as well as drought or flood affected areas would be awesome.

  5. 5
    Natasha A. says:

Fire. Then hopefully I would always be warm. AND I could melt the bloody snow.

    limecello says:

Elements… Oooo maybe air because both fire and water need it? Although fire is flashy and sexy, and water is good too… I’m sticking with air 🙂 Just because.

Another awesome ARC for a prize Jaci!

Thank you so much again for the contest. 🙂

If I could control one of the elements I think it would be water as well. It is essential to us all, but can also cause great devastation. So, it would be awesome to have some control over that!

    Have a great day Jaci!

  8. 8
    Diane M. says:

To control water since I live in south Texas and we have a drought. Plus then when I visit the parents I could prevent the blizards when I vist during the winter.

  9. 9
    May says:

I would like to control the fire because that is what I am afraid the most.

  10. 10
    Patti Mann says:

I think in would like to be able to control weather. My favorite comic book heroine is Storm from the Xmen. Halle Berry made it all look so cool, being able to control all elements of weather from making it storm with thunder and lightning to creating strong winds.

  11. 11
    Eshani says:

Ohh..the excerpt for this book is steamy!!
I would love to have control over sunlight. I know technically, it’s not really an element, but I love sunny, warm days, and it would also be great to be able to channel some of that solar power into good use 🙂

  12. 12
    Elena says:

Hmm, I think I would go with fire, a dangerous element but very powerful when used properly and can come in very handy for lots of reasons.

  13. 13
    Pam Griffith says:

I would like to control everything to do with storms – winter snowstorms or summer thunderstorms.

  14. 14

    Leslie says:

I’ve just started the Sydney Croft series and would love to win this ARC. These are some really amazing prizes you’re giving away Jaci. Thanks a bunch!

If I could control any element it would be water. I live in the US southwest and we can always use more rain. Plus I love the smell of the air right before it rains – very refreshing.

  17. 17
    Christine M. says:

My choice would be the wind, I think, to keep cool during the during and to stop it from blowing during the snowstorms…

  18. 18
    Stef_cmb says:

  19. 19
    Lisa Freeman says:

Trying this again – I would choose air because the flow could control fire and water.

I’ve never read Sydney Croft but this blurb sounds exciting.

  20. 20
    flip says:

water…frankly fire and earth are too scary.

  21. 21
    Victoria says:

I’d want to control everything that has to do with weather. It seems like bad weather follows me everywhere. When I lived in St. George, UT they had their 100 yr flood and when I lived in Clovis, NM they had their 100 yr tornadoes. And they are supposed to get snow like once every 7 yrs and the yr I lived there it snowed like 5 times with 2 times being like a foot each time. Where I live right now is right by a huge fault line so I’m afraid we’ll get a big earth quake. Seriously. Mother nature sucks sometimes!

  22. 22
    Emily says:

Hi Jaci! I would like to control snow. Is this the same as water? I have seen far to much of this white stuff this winter. I would like it go away, far, far away from me.
Please, don’t enter me, I already won a copy last week on WM!!!
    Your blog contest rocks!!

  23. 23
    Marie says:

If I could control any element I’d choose fire. Because it’s sexy, dangerous and really powerful. Plus, great for cold nights 🙂

  24. 24
    Becky Ward says:

I love the cover and the excerpt sounded real good. Hard decision, I like water and fire. I think I will go with fire, since Aries is governed by the Element of Fire. I like the idea of being able to start a fire when one is needed.

  25. 25
    Melissa says:

OOh, I need this book. I have the 1st, and SO want the others. Control over the elements…not sure which I’d choose….probably fire, because it’s sexy, mesmerizing and dangerous.

  26. 26
    Lillie A says:

I would love to control air. So many handy uses for it 🙂

  27. 27
    Kendra says:

Elements… I would like control water or earth they both are essential to life. The flowers are coming in our front yard and it’s wonderful to see the new growth. So I’d want a gift that could that. 🙂

  28. 28
    Cheryl McInnis says:

I’d love to control fire. I’d always be able to keep warm and have a way to cook food and boil water, no matter what!

  29. 29
    Erika R says:

I’d control water as well, considering most of Earth would be covered by something I could control

  30. 30

  31. 31
    Roberta Harwell says:

    Hello Jaci,

Almost 5 years ago, we lost our home to a fire. So for me, I would want to be able to control fire. It would have come in handy on that day. The blessing was no one was injured.

    Have a great day.

  32. 32
    Diane W says:

I would like to control the air. To have the ability to create a soft, cooling breeze for those hot flashes of mine would be heaven on earth!!

I would like to have control of wind – to prevent and limit hurricanes, tornados, etc.

  35. 35
    Raonaid Luckwell says:

Anya Bast’s witches are elemental, not to mention the demons in Jacqueline Frank’s series.

But yeah, if I could be any element I would have to choose fire. Perhaps it is because I was born beneath the red dragon sign.

There is just something about the flame.. it could be destructive but it also could be helpful.

  36. 36
    Anne says:

I would choose air, so I could glide on the currents.

  37. 37

  38. 38

My choice is earth. My lawn would never need to be mowed again (this would make my neighbors very happy).

  39. 39
    RachieG says:

I would totally choose Earth! So many outdoor chores I hate that I could control…and maybe make my tomato plants grow better 🙂

  40. 40
    chey says:

My choice is water so I could stop forest fires and contrl flooding

  41. 41
    shartyrant says:

Normally, I would say fire, but honestly, I would go with Earth. So much you could do with that including helping a garden or buidling a house for those who need it. Talk about a solid house! There is just something that is so cool feeling to it. Plus, it could come in handy in a fight. YOu cause the ground to shake, rise or even lava to crack through and the fighters will lose. Plus, you could use the earth to travel faster like you are flying if you do it right. 😉

I would love to have all of them though if I had my perfect choice. >:)

  42. 42
    Rhonda says:

Water! It would make so many things so much easier.

  43. 43
    Susan C says:

I would like to control the wind. That way I can change the weather at will. 🙂

  44. 44
    Jane says:

I would choose to control fire.

  45. 45
    danni says:

I would definitely choose water. I love the water and I think it would be the funnest element to control.

  46. 46
    Barb P says:

Hi Jaci! I guess that I would have to choose fire. I am basically a person who likes the sun and warm temps or maybe that should be earth. I don’t know maybe a combo of both ** LOL ** . I love the Sydney Croft ACRO series. Have a good one!

  47. 47
    Brandy W says:

Oh I don’t know. I’d love to control all of them cause I’m greedy like that but if you MADE me pick one I might have to go with….fire. Me feet stay cold all the time. I’d be able to have instant fire to warm my tootsies.

  48. 48

I’d definitely want to control air. The wind has been my solace for years. The sound and the feeling of the wind gives me peace and serenity.

  49. 49
    Jennifer M says:

I would chose Earth. I like to baby things and right now I think it needs and deserves some babying.

  50. 50
    Lisa W. says:

I’m with you it would be water. I love rain and storms so would want to have that one.

  51. 51
    Jamie says:

I think i would have to say water also. It can be used for so many things and is so useful!!

  52. 52
    Shaiha says:

That is a hard but I think that I would have to choose water. I think that control over the sea would be wonderful!

  53. 53
    Jeanette Juan says:

I would definitely choose to control fire.

  54. 54
    Terri says:

Another tough question with lots of great answers. I work in a farming community and every summer we either get too much rain or not enough or too much too fast. So, I guess the rain. I like to watch things grow and I love to watch the men harvesting the corn and hay with their big draft horses. So, to get the crops, I have to take the rain.

  55. 55
    Melissa Conatser says:

For me, water. I love water and I love rain, until it rains day after day, or we have a drought and there is no rain in sight. Plus, I love a good thunderstorm with the lightning that moves through the sky.

  56. 56
    trish s says:

I think I would pick AIR because on a hot day I could have a cool breeze drift by to cool off the heat. In the winter I could have bursts of heat fly by to heat things up. I basically like fair weather not too much heat or too much cold.

  57. 57
    Lexee says:

I would like to control the wind. It was a hard choice though, it came down between wind and water.

  58. 58
    Amy S. says:

Air, I would like to fly.

  59. 59
    Anna says:

Like most, I think I would prefer to control water. Rainy days are the best to stay in all warm with a cup of hot chocolate curl up in bed and read =]

  60. 60
    Tasha W. says:

I would choose earth. I live on a farm so being able to control the earth to grow crops to feed our animals and our family would be great. I also would love to be able to make those little trees we planted a few years ago grow faster so we would finally have some shade. 🙂

  61. 61
    Keira says:

I would say the weather – it’s not really an element so much as it’s comprise of the elements – water, wind, fire, earth. But if that doesn’t count then wind. I’d like to control the wind because of the power to be found in it – hurricanes, tornadoes, jetstreams, etc.

  62. 62
    Shaine says:

I would choose Fire to control. I’m a fire sign and fire is seductive and as they say in Survivor”Fire is Life”

  63. 63
    Jo Ann Jansing says:

With the past 12 months we have had here I would have to pick earth.. so that what is left of the trees could be made supper strong & they wouldn’t knock the power out any time soon… plus
lots of ways to adjust nature just a little.

  64. 64
    Lisa F. says:

    Oh I love this series!!!
I would choose water. Make rain, I love a good storm. And to be able to control the sea.

  65. 65
    Larena Wirum says:

being able to control rain or water would be cool but I like the thought of controlling the wind. 🙂

  66. 66

I;d love to read this book! 🙂

  67. 67
    Lori T says:

I would control water…I think. I would like to be able to make it rain, but I would also like the ability to make it NOT snow. We are expecting another 5-6 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. I am ready for rain and I want the snow to stop!

I LOVE the ACRO series and I am seriously keeping my fingers crossed for this one.

  68. 68
    Ashlynn says:

I would like to control the sun & moon. The moon is so fascinating to look at when the sky is clear. And the sun…well I have a thing for suns. It reminds me of energy.

Can’t wait to see you at the next meeting!!

  69. 69
    Sue A. says:

Water! It rains here so much. It would be nice if I could shut it off when I want to go out.

  70. 70
    Terri W. says:

I would love control air because then I could make sure it’s always sunny and warm everyday!

  71. 71
    Karin says:

If I could control the elements, I think I’d have to go with water as well. More so I could control snow than rain, but either way, being able to control water would be awesome.

  72. 72
    Caffey says:

I’d love to be able to control wind! Sometimes wind can be scary to me, other times its a wonderful feeling. I’d love to be able to control it to settle it when its scary!!! Too when I used to go to Niagara Falls, when the wind was blowing good, the water from the falls would spray even more on me and I loved that feeling. So there I would increase it up too!

  73. 73
    Lynda says:

I’d have to go with water as well. It’s just so versatile. Rain, snow, sleet. A mist or a deluge. It can put out fires. Wash away dirt. It created the Grand Canyon. There are just so many options!

  74. 74
    Zhan says:

Definitely water, but it would be so awesome to control all of the elements.

  75. 75
    blodeuedd says:

Hard one, if wind, then I could fly…I do think I will go with this one cos it would be truly awesome to fly 🙂

  76. 76
    Frana says:

water – because it’s a such great element and it would be great to create a giant wave to sail on it for a day or two 🙂

  77. 77

I’d say wind. I’d like to control fire, but I have a quick temper and it’s probably best if I blow somebody over rather than toast them like a marshmallow.

  78. 78
    Janet H says:

Earth. I would like to have fire, which is my birthsign, but I ‘m way too volatile for that… So, Earth it is, to keep me grounded…

  79. 79
    Janet H says:

Ooops! I meant to include: I LOVE this series!!

  82. 82
    Teresa W. says:

I’d control water so I could make it rain or snow when I wanted it to!

  83. 83
    Devon says:

I’d have to pick water – I’m always hot, so it would be great to cool things down. Plus, whether it’s a raging thunderstorm or gently falling, there is something about the sound and smell of rain.

  84. 84
    sara hurt says:

I would control the sun. I am so tired of cold weather that I want some warmth and I want it now. 🙂

  85. 85
    Katy M. says:

    Air 🙂

I can’t wait for this book!! Huge fan of the series!
