I fell in love with Nalini’s Psy/Changeling series from the very first book, Slave to Sensation. I can always tell when I’m going to love a series–I’ll sit down to read a book, get totally lost in the world the author has created, and I can’t put the book down!
That’s what happened with Nalini’s series. And every book since then (click here to read the lineup of the Psy/Changeling series so far). There hasn’t been one that I haven’t devoured in a single sitting. That’s very rare for me. If you know me and read my blog and understand my hellish writing schedule, you know I don’t have much time for reading in one sitting. But with Nalini, I know in advance to set aside an entire day because I know I won’t be able to put these books down.
Mine To Possess was no different. It sucked me in from the very beginning, held me by the throat and refused to let go. And I loved every minute of it. Nalini writes with a sensual hand, stroking the reader with lush characters, tempting heroes and strong yet flawed heroines you can’t help but fall in love with and root for. Clay is a DarkRiver sentinel, always a little aloof from the pack, yet still devoted to those he serves. Talin, a woman from his past, resurfaces, and old feelings come rushing to the surface for both of them. Feelings neither of them can deny.
There’s danger, passion, a world filled with wonderful characters and family and a sense of belonging. You can’t help but be drawn into this world. Nalini always brings back characters from previous books and I strongly recommend you read this series in order, though it isn’t necessary to enjoy each book on its own merits.
I highly recommend this series. It’s always high on my list and I can’t wait for the next book!
