No Thursday Thirteen for me this week. I’m on book deadline and must focus. 😥 Promise to miss me, okay? I’ll be back next week, provided I have this damn book done by then.

12 Pages done yesterday. And did 50 pages of copyedits too.Not too bad considering VD and all. :giggle:

Cool news! I heard that one of my Ellora’s Cave books, Kismet: Aftermath, was awarded the CAPA (which stands for Cupid and Psyche Award) from The Romance Studio for Best Fantasy Erotic Romance yesterday! :hips: How cool is that? Kismet is my fairy series. In fact, Fiery Fate, one of the other books in the Kismet series won a CAPA two years ago. Wicked cool!

Fast Draft Progress, Copyedits, VD and other stuff

Hey y’all….was glad to see the posts yesterday from so many of you who want to join in on Fast Draft. Come on in and join the party!

So I did pretty good yesterday. 17 pages. :boobie:

Could have done more, but copyedits for Hunting the Demon arrived via Fedex. Ack! Doesn’t it just figure that as soon as I get rolling on something, someone will throw a wrench into the engine?

No worries though–I have a plan. Writing in the morning and early afternoon when the brain cell is cranking, copyedits in the late afternoon/evening when the creative part of me starts to die off, since I don’t need to be creative to read. Ha!

Happy Valentines Day to everyone! Biker Dude and I are avoiding the VD crowds like a bad case of Ebola. He’s getting takeout on the way home from work and we’re staying home tonight. (isn’t that romantic? :giggle: ) So whatever y’all are doing today, I’m sending hugs and kisses to all who read this blog. :heart:

Fast Drafting My Way To The End of The Book

Since I have very little time to finish the book I’m writing, I’m going to Fast Draft my way to the end. Fast Draft is pure writing. No stopping, no thinking, no editing, no tweaking. Just writing as many pages as you can..the goal is about 20 pages a day, every day for 2 weeks, ideally, to get a complete draft of a book. My goal is to do as many pages a day as possible, hoepfully about 20, to get to the end of my book, because this baby is due due due like now now now!

Yesterday I did 12 pages because I had multiple errands to run. Bleh. But since I haven’t done that many pages in awhile, it was a really good start.

Anyone care to join in and start posting you own page count, feel free. I always like doing something like this in groups. And if you can’t do 20 a day, it’s fine. However many you want to set a personal goal for is good enough. I’ll chart my progress here so I can be accountable. The more the merrier, ya know. :giggle:
