The One Word Mememe

Since technology has been kicking my butt the past couple weeks, I’m fresh out of blog ideas. Between wet phone lines kicking out my internet connection for almost two weeks, a broken laptop for months and now a pc that doesn’t want to work, I’ve about reached the end of my rope. And all these issues are sucking out my brain cells, preventing me from blogging about an intelligent topic (hey, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it)

So I stole this from the vivacious ViviAnna who stole it from Gena Showalter who stole it from the fabulous Michelle Rowen, who stole it from the equally fabulous Bonnie. You answer all the questions using only ONE word.

For My Mom

You were always there for me. To celebrate my triumphs, to hold my hand when I fell. Every childhood memory is wrapped around you. Your quiet strength, your iron will, your ability to hold our family together. Our family was you. You were the center, and from you we flowered and grew. I laughed with you, I cried with you, and I became the adult I am because of your guidance.

You encouraged my dreams and pushed me toward success. You always believed in me, told me there was nothing I couldn’t achieve. With you at my back, I knew I could fly. No matter what happened, I knew I could count on you to be there with me. I will never be able to thank you for the years you stood by my side, unjudging, always accepting, no matter the mistakes I made. Through it all, I felt your love.

Our family continues to flower and grow, its petals scattering in the wind, but still, you are the rose of my heart and always will be.

I miss you, Mom. My heart hurts without you. I’ll always love you.
