I got very cool news over the weekend. WILD WICKED & WANTON came in first place in the More Than Magic contest sponsored by Romance Writer’s Ink! :boobie: I was very excited, especially since I had some stellar competition in my category, with books by amazingly talented authors Sasha White, Karin Tabke and Sharon Page.

Had a really nice weekend. #2 son arrived from California late Friday night. I only get to see him once a year since he teaches high school and only gets summers off, so it’s always so great when he gets here. Even nicer this year is that since #1 son moved here, this is the first year in a very long time that both my boys are here at the same time. So Father’s Day yesterday they were both here, along with our daughter and granddaughter and my mother in law came too.

Our daughter in law had to work yesterday, so she’s missing. But we’re supposedly having a family picture taken tomorrow (providing it doesn’t rain) so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Of course, it’s raining this morning and it’s not looking so great for Tuesday. 😥

I did no writing all weekend. :titanic: I so need to work my ass off all week. Fortunately, #2 son is happy to just sit at the table with me and play computer games while I work. I :heart: him.

When we aren’t being deluged with rain equal to the Great Biblical Flood, the temps are in the 90’s and it’s humid as hell out there.

Lucy, our half lab half Australian Shepherd, is black and fat and HATES the hot weather. So she tends to sit in the water bowl, which doesn’t really please the other dogs.

So every summer we buy one of those small plastic pools and fill it with water for her.

Look at that happy face. Isn’t she adorable? (And no, the water never stays clean once she gets in it. :giggle: )

What were you doing ten years ago?

Living in California. My oldest son had just gone into Marine boot camp, the younger son was still in high school. I was working as an executive for a health care management company. (Wow, that was just ten years ago? My how my life has changed. Heh)

What are five things on your to-do list for today (not in any particular order)?
I have a hair appointment, need to drop something off at my mother-in-law’s, have to run some errands, have to write (of course), and do laundry.

What are some snacks you enjoy?
M&M’s, ice cream, brownies, chips and Junior Mints.

What would you do if you were a billionaire?
Pay off the house, the car and the motorcycle, build the screened in back porch of my dreams, cement the driveway, build Biker Dude a second garage and a storage shed, take several vacations, give some money to a few of my favorite charities, then bank the rest for retirement.
