This ‘n That

So the start of this week brought revisions from Berkley for THE TIES THAT BIND, my novella in the UNLACED anthology releasing in December. Nice to revisit Rick and Lisa’s story again. This one is a reunion romance with hawt sex. Fun stuff. The revisions are going very smoothly and I should finish them up today, which means it’ll be back to writing RIDING ON INSTINCT, Spence and Shadoe’s story, the third Wild Rider’s book for Berkley that will release next April. I’ve gotten behind so I need to pound out some word count on that book in the next month.

Our weather has climbed into the 90’s. Air conditioner has been turned on. Loving the heat again! :boobie: I planted white gladiolia bulbs in honor of my mother and they’re starting to poke through the ground, so I’m excited. We need to do a ton of yard work in the front yard (weeds! omg), so if the deluge of rain will just stay away, maybe we can get that started soon.

The Bachelorette premiered last night. Anyone catch that? There were some…interesting guys for DeAnna (who got royally screwed by Brad, so I’m glad she’s getting a chance to shine again). Is it just me, or were a bunch of the guys just…bleh? When Trista was the Bachelorette, there were a lot of really hot guys. Some of the guys last night were okay, but no one really hit my hot buttons. I guess it’s early and we’ll see how it goes. I’m sure some will grow on me (I really liked the chef. Cook for me and I’m yours :doglick: )

I got a peek at the cover for DARE TO LOVE yesterday, my July Samhain release. It’s awesome! As soon as I get the final cover I’ll put it up for y’all to ogle.

What’s on your agenda for this week?

This Week’s Television

If you haven’t watched this week’s shows yet, there might be spoilers.

American Idol – I thought Jason and Brooke sucked rocks this week and should have been in the bottom two. No way Syesha and Carly should have been. But alas, Carly got the boot. Then again, her time was going to be upper sooner or later. People have got to stop letting thier 10 year old girls dial the cell phones. They’re keeping Jason in the game. Dude just doesn’t have the talent. My boy David Cook rocked it as usual. Who do you like?

America’s Next Top Model – The Italian Commercial just killed me. I thought they were all pretty bad. And I can’t stand Dominique. Why do they seem to like her? Bleh. I Thankfully Lauren the klutz is gone. The girl was a total ditz.

Ahhhh. Grey’s Anatomy returned last night. I’ve missed it. It was good. Not enough McDreamy though. But it was great seeing the whole gang again. Too bad there are only going to be 5 shows until end of season. The writer’s strike really messed with the season, but at least we got our shows back for a bit. Meredith still annoys me. Nothing new there.

Survivor – How dumb are these people with the Immunity Idol anyway? Twice in two weeks? Morons. And some of the women are bitches. And that Natalie chick? Dude. Was she PMSing or what? She’s vicious. I could never be on this show because I don’t think I like anybody on there. It’s entirely possible I’m too nice to be machiavellian. How sad. :giggle: I really like James the best but now that the women are systematically picking off the men, unless he wins all the immunity challenges, he’s toast.

So what do you watch that makes you happy…or irritates you?

I miss Project Runway.

Book Stuff And Idol

Another one bites the dust! I finished Dare To Love, my July Samhain release, in a record three days!! Woo hooo! :hips: :boobie: :dancingdevil: :buttwiggle: :glee: . Now I just need to go through and edit it, then that baby is off my desk and onto my editor’s. Yet another project ticked off the 2008 To Do List! :cheer:

Cool news. Sold foreign rights for Riding Wild to Japan! Will be so awesome to see my book in Japanese! 😎

Anyone watch Idol Gives Back last night? Best song of the night….Barracuda-Heart, with Fergie. Rockin’ incredible. Check it out. And go to American Idol’s website to make a donation to the various charities who will benefit.
