March 30th Book Giveaway

Today is another ARC day. Author Leigh Ellwood is offering up an ARC of DARE TO DREAM, releasing in print April 30th.

Book Four of Dareville!

An act of pure humiliation drives Claire Walker from the big city to her
native Dareville, and a tearful reunion with family and friends. Everyone is
overjoyed to see the prodigal daughter return, and Claire contemplates
making the visit permanent, but there’s just one score to settle.

J.J. Marbury never stopped loving his high school sweetheart. Seeing Claire
again after nearly fifteen years sets his passion to overdrive, and he’s
determined to make sure that Claire doesn’t leave again.

Can a love lying dormant be revived? Will Claire find the closure she needs
in her personal and professional lives so she can start over? Is there room
for J.J. in this future? Welcome back to Dareville, the little town that
proves Virginia is for romance lovers.

To be eligible to win this book, let’s talk about reunion romances. They’re some of my favorites. Lovers reunited just make my heart swell and I admit to searching out these kinds of books. What about you? What are some of your favorite reunion romances?

Please don’t panic if your comment doesn’t appear right away. Some comments are being moderated and I’ll grab them and release them.

Because my blog is being a giant pain in the ass and holding comments in moderation and in spam and it takes me a bit to go find them, I’m going to choose winners at the end of every week, on Saturday, instead of every day. So check back every Saturday to see if you’re one of the weekly book winners. Because I’m not going to hunt the winners down. You have to come here to see if you’ve won and then contact me with your info (Other than ARCS being sent by the authors offering them, I’ll be shipping all the winning books directly from Amazon). Otherwise, come back every day for a new book giveaway.

And don’t forget to enter the grand prize contest! You could win a $100 Amazon Gift Certificate, a $100 Harley Davidson purse, or other prizes. Share the widget for a chance to win! Rules and info here

These also are some of my favourites, along with the friends-turn-lovers storyline. A recent favourite (I just read the series a couple of weeks ago) is the second of Frost’s Night Huntress novel, where Cat is reunited with Bones after almost two years of being able to avoid him.

It’s been awhile since I picked up a reunion story. The older I get the less I seem to remember titles. Count me in for this book. It sounds too perfect. Have a great day.

    Hi Jaci:

I read a lovely e-book a while back called “Burn” that was well told reunion romance. I also liked your “Riding Wild” novel, I loved Mac and Lily’s story.

There are others, but a story of reacquainted lovers next to friends to lovers is my favorite theme in a novel.

    Warm Regards

I guess I have read many but I just can’t think of any book in particular. In a way I love them, in a way I don’t. I kind of want an happy ending at once, and not that they have been apart for some times.
Well as long as they get happy

I love reunion romances. There seems to be a special depth to them that really calls to me. Some of my favorites have already been listed, but one I really enjoyed recently was Live and Yearn by Kelley St. John. It was the last book in her Sexth Sense series for Harlequin Blaze, and it was a fabulous way to wrap up a great series of books.

  19. 19
    Raonaid Luckwell says:

When done right, with a plausible excuse of their separations, and yeah I do enjoy reunion stories.

Before the Scandal by Suzanne Enoch. It’s hard to find some titles since the majority of my books are in storage so I can not browse their titles so their stories will click in my head

  26. 26
    Katy M says:

My favorite reuinion story hands down is the third book in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series Voyager and the fourth, Drums of Autumn, for that matter. Okay, it’s a tie! The third reuinites Jamie and Claire and the fourth reunites their daughter, Brianna, with both of them and the man she left behind. *sigh* I love those books and reread them frequently.

Other reunion stories: Tempt Me Tonight by Toni Blake was amazing, and I also loved Riding Wild; others mentioned Mine to Possess by Nalini Singh and The Man Within by Lora Leigh – more awesome books I loved that I just forgot were reuinion stories ;P I guess I really do like these kind of stories and just didn’t realize how much!

Lora Leigh’s Wild Card. That book made me cry.

I enjoy reunion romances but I also like the ones where the couples are grudgingly put together again which makes the story more interesting. Some of my favorite reunion romances would have to be all the blaze and romance books from Harlequin.

  37. 37

I love those kinds of books.

Daisy’s Back in Town by Rachel Gibson
Tempt Me Tonight by Toni Blake

Don’t put me in for this one since I think I have it in ebook! I remember too reading the first DARE book and so glad it went to more books!

I too love re-union romances! Its the intensity too of them coming back together from being apart so long and that process to healing that I love about these reads!

Here’s a few I recall and they are awesome reads too:
AFTER THE NIGHT by Linda Howard
AGAIN THE MAGIC by Lisa Kleypas
    SILENT MELODY by Mary Balogh

Its hard to think of these! I know there’s lots more but I’m freezing up here, LOL.
I have a recent release, TALK OF THE TOWN by Karen Hawkins, her first contemp, she writes historicals, is a reunion one!

I love reunion stories and one that comes to mind is of a h/h who loved each other and she has a riding accident and is parallized(?). She believes the hero won’t want her so she disguises her injury(sits on a couch with a blanket over her lap so he doesn’t see that she can’t move) and tells him she’s not interested. He leaves but eventually comes back unannounced and sees her on a horse and sees the braces and all is well, lol. Loved it.

  42. 42

  43. 43

I couldn’t think of any titles off the top of my head, but by reading everyone’s comments, I do like Again the Magic by Lisa Kleypas, The Man Within by Lora Leigh, and Mine to Possess by Nalini Singh.

  44. 44

  45. 45

One reunion book I liked was Moontide by Stella Cameron. I do not have my booklists on this computer so I can’t think of another name or the author … a story where they met as teens in Wales (or thereabouts) and she returns after a divorce and they get together. Also someone above mentioned Jamie and Claire’s story which is wonderful. Thanks for chance to win. Sorry I have missed most of the month. 🙁

  46. 46
