Countdown, Conference and Contest

I leave tomorrow for the RWA Conference in Dallas. Still have :laundry: to do. I haven’t even dragged the luggage out of the closet yet. I don’t have a packing list. Think I’m avoiding? :chair:

I wrote 8 pages yesterday (Pages 163-170), so Sven won’t sweat on me. Heh.

So..here’s what’s up while I’m gone.

I have 3 books coming out over the next couple months. One comes out next week. Eeek! I’m excited and nervous. I’m always excited and nervous when I have books coming out, even though I’ve released over 30 books. I never get over the giddy, panicky, want-to-throw-up feeling of releasing a book. It’s such a thrilling moment, an anticipatory moment, a Wow, I really hope readers love this book as much as I do moment. Such fun. Such anguish. I love what I do. Again, this is why I write.

Anyway, Wednesday, Thurdsay and Friday I’ll be popping up excerpts for my three upcoming books, since I’ll be in Dallas and not here to entertain you with my witty blog posts :giggle:. Though I will try to blog from RWA and post some pics (Oh yes, I’m bringing my camera). I might even ask some friends to come in here and blog for me.

And, I’m intending to bring back books. Lots and lots and lots of books. And I’ll be giving some of those books away. So don’t desert my blog, because for everyone who comments while I’m gone, you’ll be entered in a drawing to win books.

And really, who doesn’t want to win a crapload of books? :sasmokin:

So tell me, if you were going to the conference, who would you most like to meet?

I already mentioned yesterday that I’m really excited to meet my Bantam pals Lara Adrian, Larissa Ione and Steph Tyler. We angst a lot together about our books, so it’ll be fantastic to do it in person. Heh. And oh, I forgot to mention that Jane from Dear Author and Sybil from The Good, The Bad and The Unread are also coming to Dallas. Also Candy and Sarah from Smart Bitches. I can’t wait to meet all of them! Must stalk and take pics. :boobie:

And of course, there’s Nora. I’ve stood in line for Nora’s books before, but never really talked to her. I really want to talk to Nora. And get a pic of her shoes. Nora wears cool shoes. :sasmokin:

I did cry and babble at Linda Howard before when she said she’d read my books. Yeah, not one of my finer moments.

Tell me who you’d want to meet?
