The Weekly To Do List

Happy Monday all! (isn’t that an oxymoron?)

The bike toy run yesterday was great! :charlie: We had a wonderful time. There were about 70 bikers there and the ride was fantastic, though it was cold and rainy. And I froze my ass off (Note to self: Buy chaps this week). After the ride I huddled up under a thousand blankets on my couch and watched the race. And napped. And coddled my cold. Bleh. Other than that, did nothing the rest of the day. All in all, a damn fine Sunday.

This week I have a lot going on and I need to get my butt in gear:

1. Copyedits for Wild, Wicked and Wanton

2. Hair appointment. Yippeeeee! :hips:

3. Take dogs to groomers. (Yes, I finally made THEIR hair appt and man do they need it. Yick)

4. Post office

5. Revisions on Hunting the Demon (depending on how long copyedits for WWW take)

6. Grocery shopping (Gag)

I’m hoping I can knock out copyedits in 2 to 3 days, max, so I can get back into revisions for HTD. :whip:

What’s on everyone’s agenda this week?

Saturday – So Far, and Looking Forward

So it’s already midway through Saturday afternoon and usually I blog on Saturday morning with my agenda for the day. But since I was up at 5:30 having to get ready to go to the office with Charlie, and since I worked pretty much nonstop from 7 a.m. until about 1 p.m. without stopping, then came home and promptly dropped dead for an hour, this is my first chance.

Busy day. First class day for Charlie (he works for the Ironworkers Union as their apprentice coordinator – his job is to train all the new apprentices). So I came in and did all the paperwork.

Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of paperwork. And setting up spreadsheets and databases and folders and yada yada yada.

And I have a cold. Bleh.

Anyway, got all that done.

I took a little nap. Until the dogs started barking, the doorbell rang and a political candidate was standing there. I would have growled at him, but he had his two cute little girls there with him. Dammit.

And as I opened the door, what fell on my feet? A fedex package. Containing copyedits for Wild Wicked and Wanton, my Berkley Heat book. :hide:

So my next project will be copyedits, putting a screeching halt on revisions to Hunting the Demon. For a few days anyway, since copyedits need to be done asap.

Can you tell Mercury is in retrograde? I can’t get a break.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, we’re doing a bike toy run, the first of a few we’re going to try to do this season, to deliver toys for a fundraiser in the surrounding communities. Should be fun and we hope it isn’t butt freezing cold or raining. :charlie:

Hope everyone is having a fun weekend. What are y’all doing?

THIS was in my house

And yes, it was THAT size! In my entryway the other night.

You just gotta love living in rural Oklahoma.

It’s a wolf spider. Here’s a few tidbits: Common household pest in the fall when they are looking for a warm place to overwinter. (Um, not in my house, thank you). Wolf spider mothers carry their large egg sacs around with them. When the young spiderlings hatch they climb onto their mother’s back and ride around until partially grown. (Major heebie-jeebie dance here)

It’s a horror movie in the making.

Oh, and Charlie killed it. I just love that man. Yes, I’m sorry. I know they’re probably nice little creatures looking for a warm home, but they scare the shit out of me and I’m not sharing my house with them.
