Demon Night by Meljean Brook

Meljean was nice enough to let me have an advance peek at Demon Night, releasing Feb 5th from Berkley. This book is part of her Guardians series, and trust me when I tell you that if you haven’t started reading this series, you’ve missed out on some of the best paranormal books out there now, and some of the greatest characters to hit the scene in years.

In this book, we meet Ethan and Charlie, who know each other but Charlie hasn’t really met Ethan in person yet. And so the story begins. Charlie has had some hard knocks and has picked herself up and is working hard on her own personal redemption. Ethan is sworn to protect Charlie, and that he does…in his own way, and in the best way he can, despite seemingly overwhelming odds against him.

Ethan. Oh, Ethan. A sexier hero I don’t think has ever been created. You like western heroes? Trust me, even though this is set in contemporary times, you’re gonna love Ethan. Ethan made my toes curl. Meljean seduces the reader with hundreds and hundreds of pages of sensual tension that make you white knuckle the book until you want to scream. Isn’t that great? :giggle:

I’m not very often at a loss for words, but Meljean’s writing puts me there. She mesmerizes me, grips me by the throat and takes me along on this magical ride where I’m completely lost in her worldbuilding, unable to put the book down until the story ends (just ask Biker Dude, who grumbled at me for a few middle-of-the-nights while I was reading this book).

You can read about all the books in the Guardian series here at Meljean’s website. I highly recommend you start with the first and immerse yourself in her world, then read every book so you’re ready for Demon Night. And you can read more about Demon Night here.

Oh, and Ethan is mine. Mine mine mine.
