RWA National Conference Packing

So I’ll be attending the Romance Writer’s of America National Conference next week.

I often talk of my love/hate relationships with things. I have a love/hate relationship with conferences. I love this conference. It’s a great place to network with my peers, to unwind and relax and talk shop and to just have some fun with people who really ‘get’ what I do for a living. It’s also frenetic, with nonstop meetings, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, booksignings, meet and greets, cocktail parties, yada yada yada. It’s utterly exhausting.

And then there’s the….*queue Jaws music*…..PACKING. Dun Dun DUNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!! (Insert screams of horror) :hide:

I hate packing for conferences. You have to ‘outfit plan’ for every event. I’m serious. You should see my schedule. And for every event I need an outfit. With shoes to match. (Though I’m thinking my white flip flops go with everything, don’t they? :giggle: ) Skirts, dresses, cocktail dresses, pants, jeans, tops and don’t forget the assorted underwear. And did I mention shoes? I’m going to need one suitcase just for shoes. (Unless I really do decide to go with the white flip flops. The idea is becoming more and more appealing).

Packing is exhausting. Outfit planning is even more exhausting. And when I get there, even with half my closet in tow, I will not have packed enough or at least enough of the right clothes. I know this to be true because it happens all the time. 😥

But I really do love this conference. I hope the bar is open twenty-four hours. :sasmokin:
