Thursday Thirteen #5
Thirteen Things I’m Thankful For

1. My husband – because he supports me, he loves me, he makes me laugh, he understands my insane moods, and he gives THE best back massages ever

2. My kids – because they’re incredible, smart, funny, talented, loving, generous, warm, and because they have a crazy mom and love me anyway

3. My dogs – because they love me even on days I’m cranky (and I have a lot of those days)

4. My Agent – because she knows so much, she doesn’t think there’s such a thing as a dumb question (believe me, I ask a lot of them), she’s made so many of my dreams come true and she’s always there for me. And she’s a genuinely nice person

5. My editors – because they make me a better writer.

6. My publishers – because they give me tons of support, gorgeous bookcovers, great promo and because they’ve helped me realize my dream

7. The internet – an amazing breakthrough in research and communication. I love being in real-time touch with people, having facts available at my fingertips, being able to download books immediately. And shopping online—heaven to a busy writer!!

8. My mother – because she always told me I could do anything I set my mind to do. Thanks, Mom!

9. My online friends – because they always believe in me when I don’t believe in myself.

10. My fellow authors – because they inspire me and entertain me with their wonderful books, and make me want to be a better writer.

11. Readers – because they’re one of the top reasons I’m a writer. I write so someone will read my books, and when I receive a note from a reader saying she’s enjoyed my book—that’s heaven, baby!

12. Booksellers – because they’re the ones whose enthusiasm sells the books I write and help me find the books I read. Thank you for all the hard work you do!

13. My characters – for breathing life into my dreams. I love them all.
