Holy crap. I saw the trailer for the upcoming movie, Ghost Rider, on tv last night.

Omg omg omg. I am so excited. I want to see this movie like…now.

As a writer of paranormal action adventure, this hit my hot buttons in a huge way. I had to rewind the show I was watching just to watch the trailer again. (Biker dude rolled his eyes at me. I didn’t care. I wanted to see the flaming bike again.).

Of course we’re a biker family. And this movie is a paranormal. And I’m writing a biker book, though the biker book I’m writing isn’t a paranormal. But still, I’m excited. I can’t wait to see this.

I mean…just LOOK at that bike!

So. I forgot to blog yesterday. I forgot it was Monday. After spending a million days stuck in the house watching ice rain down on us, how was I supposed to know what day it was? They’re all running together now.

Anyway, the ice finally stopped falling on Sunday. Yes, it’s a hideous winter wonderland here, but we were lucky enough not to lose power. Others in Oklahoma weren’t so lucky and it’s really bad in some areas. We even made the national news (hey, that’s a big deal. It’s not like the national news trucks trek their way to Oklahoma on a regular basis, ya know).

But biker dude dragged me out of the house yesterday for a hamburger. Oh, it was heaven (both getting out of the house to breathe fresh air AND the hamburger :giggle:). Then we went to his office where I watched him shovel out about nine inches of solid block of ice away from his office door. Ick. Is it summer yet?

So, the To Do List. I had to make some fixes to Born To Be Wild because of….plot inconsistencies. (aka holes big enough to fly the Space Shuttle through :dammit:). Got those fixed ( thank you Shan). Now I just have to tweak my wimpy, TSTL heroine (thank you Shelley) and I’ll be ready to move on. :dumbass:. Yes, I’m having issues with this damn book. Let’s just say some books are easier than others. This one isn’t coming together as easily as I’d like it to. Good thing I dig a challenge.

I’ve also started working on a proposal for the next Demon Hunters book. It’s fun to engage the brain and figure out what’s going to happen next. Unlike some writers who know exactly what’s going down for the next 12 books in a series…I don’t. I figure it out as I go along. I have a rough idea of who/what/where/when, but nothing specific. Now it’s time to get specific and get it written so I can submit the proposal to my editor and hopefully make another sale.

That’s it for me for the week. Work on those two things. They take priority right now.

What’s on your To Do List this week?

So the ice storm began yesterday and pretty much hasn’t let up. A little break this morning but now it’s pouring down…ice…again. The picture above really looks like snow, huh? It’s not. It’s a solid covering of ice and it’s STILL coming down, probably won’t stop until tomorrow night. Not sure how long we’re going to be stuck in the house, but I’m just damn glad we have food.

Ick.

I’m writing, which is a good thing. Biker dude is bored out of his mind (he loathes being stuck in the house). I think he’s cleaning out desks and drawers. On a good note, he is making me stew tonight. He makes the best stew ever! :hips:
