Today I’m over at the 70 Days of Sweat blogging about Comparisons. It’s hard for a writer not to compare his or herself to others, but really, try to avoid this!
So I made bread last night (yeah, with my current schedule I’ve got time for that, right?) But Angie bought this great cookbook called Aristan Bread in Five Minutes A Day (the link to the book…pic included) is on the sidebar of Angie’s blog) and told me about it and Biker Dude and I love homemade bread so I just had to try it out. Loved it. It’s a little bit of work but not the kneading and rising and more kneading kind. And it tasted awesome and looked beautiful so I’m really pleased how it turned out. I’m really not the gourmet chef kind of person, but I do love to cook…as long as it’s easy.
Anyway, trust me when I say this is easy. If it’s complicated, I don’t do it. Heh.
So this week I have to work both on my daily writing goal and on galleys for The Darkest Touch. I’m not fond of juggling multiple projects. I’m a one project at a time kind of writer. But sometimes I have no choice. I can’t set aside the writing to work on the galleys because I have a drop dead deadline on this book I’m writing, which means I have to write every day. And the galleys are due back next week, which means I have to work on those every day, too. So I juggle.
Sometimes you just gotta make it work.
Anyone watch American Idol this week? What did you think? I think Kristi really needs to go home. And what the hell was Carly doing in the bottom 3?

yes! I watch American Idol and was like, WHAT??? Carly? One of THE best singers! GAH! I’m just glad she wasn’t the one to go. And honestly, it didn’t break my heart any to see Amanda go because, to me, she just was icky. BUT Kristy? She needs to go because she really isn’t good enough to be there IMO. As much as she tries to be Carrie Underwood, it ain’t happening.

Carly isn’t my favorite of the group, but I definitely think she’s in the top 3 and was really surprised to see her called out for bottom 3. And you’re right on with the Kristi Lee Cook thoughts! I really really thought she’d be gone this week… but I guess her looks keep her there…
by Annie March 20th, 2008 at 9:02 amI felt the same way about Idol! I like Amanda, but she did need to go home and Kristi should be gone next week!

by Jambrea March 20th, 2008 at 5:51 pmOkay, I admit it. They all love to watch IDOL at my house and I have been sucked in. I thought Amanda should have already been outta there and Kristi, too. They like Brooke at my house (they’re all men), but I’m all for rock and roll. Give me David Cook or Carly.
by Janet H March 21st, 2008 at 6:19 amI wasn’t surprised to see Amanda go either. Though I thought Kristi should go first. And I don’t think Carly is the best singer in the competition, but definitely shouldn’t have been in the bottom 3. I’m pretty sure a lot of the multiple dialers are 10 year old girls with cell phones who love all the ‘boys’
:green:
And Janet, I’m with you. I love the rock n roll!
