Author Jo Leigh lost her husband this year to cancer. She had such a wonderful reunited lovers love story, and suffered a terrible tragedy to lose the love of her life too soon.
The loss of her husband has caused Jo a lot of financial and emotional distress, and the romance community is pitching in to help with an auction.
If you check out the auction site, there are a ton of great things being given away. I’m giving away a couple autographed books as well as a critique of an erotic romance. Many many authors, agents, editors and readers are participating, so check it out. There’s something for everyone!
The auction is now live!

Howdy all! Whew! Busy weekend. I had to work with Biker Dude at his office all day Saturday. Saturday night we had to go to a wedding of the daughter of some friends of ours. The Pastor was a riot. I love a Pastor who can make you laugh. He did a great job with the ceremony. The reception was great (mainly because as soon as we got there they served the food and Biker Dude and I were starving ). We dashed out of there early because….Oklahoma was playing Texas Tech! And our Sooners beat the crap out of the Red Raiders! Of course they ranked OU behind Texas in the BCS rankings, which is very irritating (ignore this if you don’t follow college football)
Sunday was spent cleaning the house. I really hate cleaning. But I have to say, I’m married to a wonderful man. He turns housecleaning into the kind of thing that makes a woman fall in love with him all over again. He isn’t the kind of man to shirk his part of the housecleaning duties. He got down on his hands and knees and scrubbed the bathroom floors by hand. Then took the shop vac and vacuumed along the baseboards, again on his hands and knees. No, I’m not kidding. And then he completely took apart and cleaned the stove. When he works, he works. Really, it gives me the shivers the way he cleans.
We grocery shopped for Thanksgiving since we’re having it here. We bought a fryer and this year we’re going to experiment with frying a turkey. Hopefully it’ll turn out. We’ve had fried turkey before and it’s just oh so moist I wanted to try it myself. Well, frying the turkey will be Biker Dude’s job, while I’m cooking everything else.
Somewhere in that list of to do’s this week I need to work on getting some serious word count done on Riding The Edge. I’ve been fighting the leftover cough associated with The Cold From Hell the past few weeks. I think we’re on the upside of that now, so hopefully I can charge through some writing this week.
So for all of you folks in the USA, what are your Thanksgiving plans?
Oh, and cool news - RIDING TEMPTATION is Fresh Pick of the Day over at FRESH FICTION!

I think this is one of the prettiest covers I’ve ever had.
I’m very excited about this anthology and I’m in this book with some extremely talented company. Joey Hill, Jasmine Haynes and Denise Rossetti have all written amazing stories in UNLACED. I’m also really happy about my story in this book, The Ties That Bind. It’s a story about a couple who’ve known each other a very long time, who split up but have always loved each other. Ahh, lovers reunited, one of my favorite types of stories.
Unlaced releases on December 2nd from Berkley HEAT and my anthology mates and I have some fun stuff coming up to help celebrate its release. Stay tuned.
We also received some really awesome news from Berkley. They liked this anthology so much that they’ve asked us to do another one next year. So there’ll be an UNLACED 2 (well, really, I have no idea what it’ll be titled, but it’ll be something similar). We’re all so excited to be able to do this again!
You can order UNLACED
At Amazon
At B&N
At Borders
At Books A Million

Biker Dude has been fixing up his mom’s car to sell it. So yesterday, he wanted to drive it about 100 miles to test the engine, so we took it onto the turnpike, intending to stop somewhere for lunch. And while we headed north, I suggested we stop at the cemetery where his dad is buried since his mom just had a nice headstone put up there and we hadn’t seen it yet.
The cemetery where his dad is buried is in a small town. We took the gravel road leading into the cemetery. There’s a brick archway at the cemetery entrance, and right before we got there I saw an old man on the other side standing in the cemetery. He wore overalls, a flannel shirt and a baseball cap. I didn’t think anything of it, figuring he was just another visitor.
But after we drove through the archway, we made a left turn to follow the road to the gravesite, and I noticed that the old man wasn’t there. He wasn’t anywhere. Nowhere in the cemetery. This is a very small cemetery. You can see the entire thing from your car. And there are no buildings for the old guy to have ducked into. He simply wasn’t there. At all.
Now where he was standing when were driving down the road was the exact spot where we turned once we drove through the archway. We should have been able to see him.
I’m pretty sure we didn’t see him because he was a ghost, no doubt hanging out with the other dead peeps at the cemetery.
I told Biker Dude what I saw (he didn’t see the guy). He loves me enough to tell me he believed me.
Pretty cool, huh? I got no creepy vibes at all. I just thought it was genuinely cool.
So, have you ever had a ghostly encounter? Spill…

The booksigning today was awesome. The Books-A-Million people rock, the new store was incredible, and I can’t think of better people to sign with than Michele Bardsley, Dakota Cassidy and Shayla Black. I had such fun and I chalk it all up to the amazing people I got to spend a few hours with.
Writing is such a solitary endeavor, and I definitely don’t get out much. It was nice to spend a few hours with friends like Shayla, Dakota, Michele, Nikki and Greta. I got to laugh…a lot! And I got to see a few familiar faces (waves to "Bookgirl" Carrie and Emily). Thanks to everyone who came–big apologies to Deanna who showed up just as we were leaving. Sorry we missed you!
Extra special thanks to my husband, Biker Dude, who always comes to these events with me and I’m sure is always bored senseless. But it means a lot to me that you’re there. Thanks babe!
Now for some pics:
